Pests
like cockroach and bed bugs can cause havoc in the home. Cockroaches are a historical group existing since the Carboniferous period, some 320 million years
before. Cockroaches are common and resilient insects, and can endure a vast range
of weather conditions from tropical warm to arctic cold. Bed bugs of the climic
family feed human blood only. Generally bed bugs feed on their victim without being
detected. For years, bed bugs have been known as human parasites.
Most of the species of the cockroach
are about the size of a thumbnail, but there are some which are much bigger. The
biggest cockroach on the record is the Australian
massive burrowing cockroach Macropanesthia rhinoceros, which can reach 9 cm. cockroaches,
can live in a wide range of environments, exceptionally in the tropics and subtropics.
Cockroaches are very resilient thus can endure the bloodless temperature of the
arctic. They occupy a vast range of habitats. Many are living in under log piles,
in holes in stump, in rotting wooden, among the stems of matted vegetation and amongst
particles. Bed bugs can survive a wide range of temperatures and atmospheric compositions.

Bed bugs are obligatory bloodsucking pests. Generally most species when do not find
any other prey, they feed on humans. They obtain the entire extra moisture they
need from water vapor within the surrounding air. Mattress bugs are interested in
their hosts in particular by carbon dioxide, secondarily via heat, and likewise
by way of specified chemical compounds. Bedbugs prefer exposed dermis, ideally the
face, neck and hands of a sleeping man or woman.
